Story: We were reading through Adeline’s Cubbies verse “While we were sinners, Christ died for us”…
Adeline: so Jesus took our punishment?
Daddy: yes that is right Sweetie
Adeline: he should give it back

Adeline: we need to start going to different parks
Daddy: you think so?
Adeline: yeah, I want a blue one

Mommy: please don’t scratch you booboo
Adeline: no I was petting it

Adeline: did Nanny and Bumps go home?
Daddy: not yet they are still packing up
Adeline: do they have a lot of junk?
Mommy: oh boy, does mommy talk like that?
Adeline: no, I talk like that

Adeline: Do deer have hornuts?
Daddy: No those are called antlers.
Adeline: I call um trees.

Daddy: talking about our day
Daddy: …then we went to the Zale’s and you went swimming
Adeline: then you went non-swimming?
Story: I played volleyball instead of swimming

Annabelle: Crying
Adeline: Annabelle, where is the dear?
Adeline: Over there?
Adeline: There is no dear over there Annabelle
Adeline: Don’t worry everything is ok

Daddy: What was your favorite thing on vacation?
Adeline: The yellow thing at the bottom of the jacuzi

Eva: We have a hot tub too
Lewis: Yeah but don’t go in it because it really smells
Story: Eva was explaining to Corey and Nikki why they should come over

Adeline: what would you like?
Annabelle: naaah
Adeline: the naaahs are over here

Story: While playing through the window of the tool bench, using it as a store.

Colette: I’ll see you back at the house.
Adeline: No, we’re going to the cavity!!!

World of Goo

Adeline: Why do the goo balls look like that?
Daddy: I am not sure sweetie
Adeline: Because that’s the way Jesus made them

Story: Adeline loves to play World of Goo on the iPad. We play together almost every night right before bedtime. For the most part she is just happy to watch me play, but she is very engaged in what is going on. On every level she likes to find the pipe and read what the sign painter has to say. Here is a conversation from tonight.

Adeline: I have an idea.

Daddy: What’s that sweetie?

Adeline: I don’t know

Sue: he’s a really good dad and husband. He would rather be at home with his family than working.
Ken: he’s lazy!

Adeline: Daddy, want ice?
Daddy: Yes sweetie!
Adeline: Stay right there. I’ll get it for you. I don’t mind.
Story: Adeline loved getting ice for my knee. She would get both ice packs. One for each of us and we would sit on the couch and play games together.

Whatcha doing?

Adeline: Whatcha doing? (repeated again and again, but it’s so cute)
Daddy: Adeline what are you doing?
Adeline: Overhere

Mommy: What noise do birds make?
Adeline: Woof woof

Lewis: My stomach hurts
Brenden: Your just going to have to think about something else and push through
Lewis: Ok, good Idea
Lewis: I’ll think about the iPad
