He’s already with us!

I am reading Heaven is for Real out loud to our kids. Last night we were reading about how hard it hit Colton’s father to think that his son had died, but Jesus had sent Colton back because of his father’s prayers, begging for his son’s life to be spared.

Penny asked, “What does it mean to die?” (In what I took as a nervous tone.)

I explained that we don’t have anything to worry about if we have asked Jesus to forgive us of our sins, to come into our heart, and to be our Savior. Then when we die, we will get to go to heaven to be with God and Jesus.

Penny piped up right away, “He’s already with us!” Out of the mouths of babes! ??‍♀️ Well at least she gets it! ? “No fear in life, no fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me.”

Don’t say anything!

When mommy gets here tell her to come upstairs right away. Don’t say hi. Don’t say goodbye. Don’t say anything. Just tell her to come up here and kiss us good night! Annabelle when daddy was putting the girls to bed

I have big chubby cheeks

Karalin & Penny were looking at a picture of cousin Kendall on Facebook.

Karalin: Kendall is so cute! Look at her big chubby cheeks!

Penny: I have big chubby cheeks

Straight line with a hump

Mommy has been teaching Penny how to make the letter P by making a straight line with a hump. Now she identifies Ps as a straight line with a hump.

Nebba!

Karalin: When are you gonna tell me when you have to go potty?

Penny: Nebba!

Karalin: When are you going to be a big girl?

Penny: Nebba!

He gets to be with God

Annabelle: I’m glad grandpa died. Mommy: Why is that? Annabelle: Because he gets to be with God… Annabelle: I hope Grandma finds someone to love.
